Volunteering for the Visitors Center

The Chamber of Commerce of the Tonawandas operates two visitors centers.  The Chamber itself at 254 Sweeney St in North Tonawanda, open during regular business hours: Monday – Friday 9am-5pm

In addition, on weekends, we have a satellite office at Gateway Harbor Park at the end of Sweeney St. in North Tonawanda.  There, we need volunteers to assist travelers with their questions on “what do to in the Tonawandas?”

If you are passionate about your community and love sharing your excitement about where you live, we need you!  Join us in creating a vibrant and welcoming community.

We welcome responsible individuals as young as 18.  For more information email director@the-tonawandas.com or call 716-695-5120.  We understand the importance of balancing personal and professional commitments, so we offer flexible volunteer shifts on Fridays, Saturday and Sundays.  This way, you can choose the time that suits you best. One does not have to be a member of the Chamber to volunteer.

Friday: 5pm – 8pm

Saturday: 12pm – 4pm & 4pm – 8pm

Sunday: 12pm – 4pm & 4pm – 8pm

In order to serve as a volunteer, we need you to complete the Volunteer Application Form below as well as a Police background check.

For the background check, you can complete the form below, print it and bring it to the NT Police Department to submit it. (It has to be in person)

Once they are completed, return them to the Chamber at director@the-tonawandas.com or by mail to 254 Sweeney St, North Tonawanda 14120
